Hot Item - Locust

Since 11/21/2004, clouds of locust that came from north Africa landed hungry in the western Negev, in the area of Kadesh Barne'a, Eilat, Arava and Eshkol.

The Israeli department of agriculture became prepared for quick extermination. It was also assisted by the low temperature (The locust do not move at a temperature below 17 C. At this temperature, they stand still and do not fly. )
|

|
|
|
The chemicals sprayed by the agriculture department are certified for use in agriculture, and are environment friendly.
|
|
|
|
So far there has been no serious harm to the agriculture.
At Present, (December) the problem is over.
